PrizePicks, the number one Daily Fantasy Sports brand in terms of market share, recently updated its app ahead of 2025.  Not everyone is pleased.

Faster, Smoother....But is it?

The PrizePicks app just got a major upgrade. With the new app update, customers should experience faster and smoother performance, making it easier get in on the action.

"With a fresh new look, cleaner feel, and a more intuitive design, the latest PrizePicks update makes locking in picks and tracking Lineups smoother than ever."

"It’s not just an update — it’s an upgrade. Let’s walk through all of the upgrades in the PrizePicks app update, now available in the Apple App Store for iOS and Google Play Store."

Among the new features:

  • Refreshed clean look
  • Quicker experience
  • New last five games design
  • Updated My Lineups view

There is no question that PrizePicks is always looking to innovate and grow, but there appear to be some growing pains in the process.

Not All Customers Thrilled

Efrain Garcia writes on Google Play:

"What the hell happened!! I cant even see my current line up after I pick it on the Open Lineups page, everything is slower, can't see my past lineups. This update is an epic fail. It's running on both my Pixel 7 and Pixel Pro 9 and only think I can do is build a lineup, but can't view it. It's not my phone because the 7 is running it on after a factory reset."

QC writes:

"App has been okay for the last 2 years I had it until 3 weeks ago! They won't let me put in any entries. Now when I submit an entry on the app all on a sudden it says "Prizepicks is not available in your location". I've reinstalled the app a bunch of times, given the app percise location access, checked VPN settings, and contacted texh support and they didn't help at all. Having said that, IT IS STILL SCREWED!! The only way I can place entries is through a chrome browser. JUST FRUSTRATING!!"

Bryan Teamer expressed frustration with the payout process this past week.

"It's crazy how they can charge me from cashapp or paypal but I can't withdraw my winnings to cashapp or paypal."

Donovan Nguyen writes:

"Used to be good, but was "updated" recently and is broken now."

Victor Lopez offered:

"Since new update everything has been horrible. Way better view but overall has not operated correctly. Have used it much less due to all the issues."

From Travion Moore:

"This app was good now it's absolutely horrible I place a bet for a demon pick and as soon as I place the bet it went to a green goblin mind you this is a in play .....so I double checked if the demon was still there live and it was it was still there live but a Green goblin on my ticket I put money on I contacted live support they said it was my fault and that I have four to five minutes to cancel but you can't cancel a live.with proof it's still my fault.plus live odds be on pause forever wtp."

And this from Skunk Collective:

"New update slowed everything to a crawl causing you to miss picks. Almost a slow as Boom now, will take you 20-30 mins to get a full slip in. Go back to the last version, this one is absolute trash."

On Reddit, same story.

Notrious Mutt writes:

"Literally switched on me in real time. It’s absolute trash."

Weird-Experience-482 hates it but loves it.

"Looks-wise ir sucks for sure but now you can bet live in game on basketball which is actually awesome."

It's an Acquired Taste Perhaps

Make no mistake about it, folks still love playing at PrizePicks, even if they're not entirely thrilled with the recent update.

"Do not like the new update... was better before. Specifically the my entries page. <-- 11/2/24. Today=3/8/25. Another new update and changes in the app... and it's bugging out ever since. Trying to check players last 5games history or check my own entries is a hassle. It glitches to the next player and just overall doesn't work smoothly."

Despite Zach Kerbel's review, he still gives PrizePicks four stars.
